Does anyone have any tips on growing a beard?

Shaving will make the beard appear thicker as the blunt cut end of the hair is thicker than a natural hair end. Probably the more you shave the more likely it is that when you stop you will have a thicker looking beard. Keep it trimmed well and it will come in time.
