Bearded dragon question?

Would it be stressful to my beardie to put him in a giant hamster ball to run around my room? He is 6and a half inches right now so he's still small. I feel bad cause I get him out to hold him but I can't let him really roam my room cause I have a lot of furniture. Suggestions?? Thanks!
