Become friends with crush graduation night?

So im in 8th grade and I really like this guy in my class. Im not your average girl, im very shy, quiet, literate, im a total nintendo gamer girl, im really good with computers and such, most importantly im a christian. And there's this guy in my class, ive liked him since 6th grade, he's quiet but not shy, has amazing friends and im even friends with a few of his friends. He's kinda short, but honestly I could care less n_n Whats most admiring about him is how strong of a christian he is and i really like him. I've talked to him only twice, but his friends kno I like him, my friends know I like him, and im not like guy crazy, I dont want a relationship, I just want to b friends, so maybe it could eventually grow. But to kick off our friendship, wat I want to do is, on graduation night, cause im really shy and afraid to talk to him in person, im ganna have a note taped to my hand that says "Friends?" And under neath im ganna have an explanation as to why, and im ganna put "shake hand for yes" "say no for no" and after the ceremony and diplomas and we all just chill out for a bit, during that that time cause we all have to hug and shake hands, im ganna stick out my hand to him and hopefully he'll say yes. So thats my plan, what do you think?
